Most owners start thinking about siding when the weather warms. By then, good crews are booked for weeks.
Siding play · Seasonal campaigns
Siding campaigns that fill the spring schedule in February, not in May.
Siding installs follow the weather, and the best slots go to the owners who book first. Spur schedules a card for each wave, late-winter booking, pre-hail season, and the late-summer look at sun-faded walls, mails it weeks ahead, and alerts you as owners scan, so your crews start the season booked.

The problem
Siding work is seasonal, and most marketing starts after the season does.
In cold markets, installs slow down in winter, and so does marketing, so the pipeline is empty when spring arrives.
A summer of sun bakes south and west walls. Owners see the fading in August, then forget it by October.

AI draft for Holly V. · 1544 Leonard St NW
Hi Holly,
Homes on Leonard Street were built around 1997, and a lot of the original vinyl on the street has faded and cracked, especially on the south and west sides. You scanned one of our cards last summer, so we wanted to reach out before the season starts.
Our spring install slots fill quickly once the weather turns. If you book a free assessment this winter, we'll walk the house, give you a written price, and hold an early-spring install date for you.
Scan the code to pick a time. Assessments take about an hour, rain or snow.

How to plan a siding marketing calendar
Siding is one of the most weather-dependent trades. Installs are easiest in mild, dry weather. Vinyl gets more brittle in the cold and needs extra care below freezing, and many siding paints and caulks have minimum application temperatures. In cold markets, that compresses most of the year's work into spring through fall, and the contractors who fill that window early have the best year.
The first wave is winter booking. Owners start thinking about exterior projects when the weather warms, which is exactly when good crews fill up. Mailing aging-siding homes in January and February, with an offer to assess now and hold a spring install date, moves decisions earlier and fills April and May before the first warm weekend. Include everyone who scanned last season automatically.
The second wave is pre-hail season. In the hail belt, storm season runs roughly from spring into summer. A card in March or April offering a free inspection, so owners know the condition of their siding before the season and have dated photos if a storm hits, is useful and builds a list of owners who know you before the first storm.
The third wave is late summer. After a season of sun, fading on south and west walls is at its most visible, and owners spending time outside notice it. A card in August that names the fading, with a nearby before-and-after, catches owners in the moment and books fall installs.
Plan around fall. In many markets, September and October are excellent install months, with mild temperatures and dry weather. Scans from the late-summer card feed directly into that window.
Set the calendar once. Spur keeps each list current, writes each wave's card, and mails on the dates you choose, every year. The hard part of seasonal marketing is mailing early enough, and automation handles it.
One booked season covers Spur many times over.
- Spur Team: $49/mo billed annually = $588/yr
- 1,200 cards on Team at $0.94 each = $1,128 across three campaigns
- 3 whole-house jobs (~$45,000) + 2 partial jobs (~$8,000) ≈ $53,000

FAQ
Seasonal siding marketing questions
When is the best time to market siding?
January and February to book spring installs, March and April for pre-hail-season checks, and August when sun fading is most visible.
Can siding be installed in winter?
Often, yes, with care. Vinyl is more brittle below freezing and some paints and caulks have temperature limits, so many cold-market contractors focus winter on assessments and booking.
How do I fill my spring siding schedule early?
Mail aging-siding homes and last season's scanners in late winter with an offer to assess now and hold a spring install date.
Can Spur run the same campaigns every year?
Yes. Set the dates once and Spur refreshes the list, writes each wave's card, and mails automatically every year.
